Personal Online and Mobile Banking security updates are now in place.
Martha's Vineyard Bank has implemented a new security feature for logging in to Online and Mobile Banking. It uses an occasional one-time passcode, delivered via your preference of text message or phone call, to further protect your accounts from unauthorized access.
On first login after December 13, 2022, you will be prompted to designate a phone number (international phone numbers are acceptable) to be used for this extra layer of security. This one-time passcode verification is required for future logins only if our system does not recognize your device or detects suspicious activity.
As always, please reach out to our Solutions Desk Team at 508-627-4266 with any questions. Thank you for continuing to partner with Martha's Vineyard Bank for your financial needs.
The first time you log into Online Banking or Mobile Banking, you will be asked to designate a mobile phone number to receive the one-time passcode to authenticate your identity. When a one-time passcode is required for login, you may specify how you wish to receive it:
Text Message – This will send an SMS text message with a one-time passcode. The message will come from (short code) 36397.
Phone Call – This will generate a phone call to the designated number (mobile or landline) and a one-time passcode will be provided. The call will come from Caller ID # 669-241-2767.
Once you receive your passcode, you will be prompted to enter it and select "continue" to be taken to online banking.
